Parents, carers, school teachers and anyone involved directly with children will certainly be able to see what the hassles and the antics of the children in their everyday lives. One thing that caught my attention in connection with the child is "Children Creativity". Creativity of children I am talking about is when every child can produce something better as a result of their efforts. For examples, an interesting and unique paintings, handicrafts, arts, music etc.
Talking about children's creativity, I remember one day while I was busy preparing my working paper in front of my computer laptop and my daughter is 5 years old were busy playing alone. At the same time we also made a deal, and I told her "You do your work. I will do my job". After we agreed we were both making our works respectively. Although I'm, so busy from my table, I observe her as well she was doing something just by using the scissor (small scissor - not sharp suitable for young children) and also some pieces of colored paper. I asked her what she was created. She says she was designing a few items such as Barbie dresses, pants, bags, ruler, and ribbon while showing the works to me.
I was so pleased to see this little child and made me think, a child can produce something better if given the best and proper guidance as well as encouragement. Of course, children the age of five years the result of works is not perfect as what we expect. But as an adult not to try to belittle the ability of small children and do not try to kill the creativity of their new skills to grow. We should support our children because fostering creativity in children also demands a lot of creativity on our part.
It is the responsibility of parents hand in hand with the teachers to help young children to learn creative skills. Creative skills can be learned anywhere, not only in schools but also in the house, during the holidays, and other outside school activities. Let the children explore their world through imagination and their creativity will grow automatically. From the discovery creative world, the children grows slowly until they become adults. Through the application of creativity from an early age until adulthood many are able to successfully transform their innovation and creativity to the value or profitability. Based on my readings the more successful a person must have a strong combination of creativity, intelligence and talent. Therefore, it is important for us as a parent to emphasis and apply these three elements as children are growing.
HELP CHILDREN TO EXPLORE THEIR CREATIVITY
To stimulate creativity, one must develop the childlike inclination for play and the childlike desire for recognition.’
